I was able to get Eclipse work by installing the full Java SE Development Kit 8u151 from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/pt/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html

Java Se 6 Runtime Download For Mac Sierra; This is a special update from Apple which allows the outdated Java 6 to safely run on your Mac. In the release notes for the Java 6 update, Apple states: Java for OS X 2015-001 installs the legacy Java 6 runtime for OS X 10.11 El Capitan, OS X 10.10 Yosemite, OS X 10.9 Mavericks, OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, and OS X 10.7 Lion. Download the Java SE 6 for OSX (click the Download button) Once the download finishes, install the dmg file following the onscreen instructions. When you have Java Runtime 6 installed on your Mac, you can launch Adobe CS5 (or any other app that require Java 6 runtime). Note: You DO NOT need to restart your Mac before launching the app.

The last time this kind of thing bit me I was inadvertently installing the run-time Java (which is what Apple usually provides a link to) on my server, not the full Java SDK (which has the compilers and stuff you need to do developmentn).
I usually hunt for the full Java SE Development Kit at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/.

While launching, Dreamweaver (13.2 and earlier versions) prompts you to install Java SE 6 Runtime.
Java SE 6/SE 7 Runtime is installed on the computer.
Note:
In Dreamweaver 2014, the prompt does not appear when you launch Dreamweaver. However, you are prompted to install Java SE 6 runtime while logging in to PhoneGap Build service (Site > PhoneGap Build Service > PhoneGap Build Service).
In the pop-up window that appears, click Install and follow the onscreen instructions to install Java SE 6 Runtime.
Note:
In Dreamweaver 2014, you can't log in to PhoneGap Build service without installing Java SE 6 Runtime.
Important: Ensure that you install Java SE 6 Runtime only by clicking Install in the pop-up window. If you install Java SE 6 or 7 Runtime through any other means (for example, by directly accessing Java.com), Dreamweaver could still display the prompt.
Even if you have installed Java SE 7 Runtime, you still need to install Java SE 6 Runtime as described above.
If you continue to see the prompt even after installing Java SE 6 Runtime as described above, perform the following steps:
Dreamweaver displays such a prompt because, when you update to Mac OS 10.9, Java SE 6 Runtime on your computer gets uninstalled.

When you’re trying to open any of the Adobe CS5 or CS6 applications in Yosemite, you’ve likely encountered a friendly message such as this:
This happens because CS5 and CS6 applications were relying on Java 6, and the current version at the time of writing is Java 8. I’m not an expert on Java, but I can only assume that things have changed and backward compatibility wasn’t high on ORACLE’s priority list.
Lucky for us, we can have both Java 6 and Java 8 installed at the same time, the latter is an option offer by Apple.

Apple’s Support Site has a habit of returning empty white pages lately. If this happens to you, try to find this page in Google and click that super tiny green arrow next to the word “support”.
